DICE announces first dlc pack with Bad Company 2

Studio developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts have the first set of downloadable content for Battlefield: Bad Company announced two. The new Onslaught mode adds to BFBC2 cooperative gameplay.

The dlc package, that no date has been given, adds the "Onslaught' game mode to Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Electronic Arts did so Tuesday at a press event in London.



In Onslaught, players can solo or with up to three others struggle with computer-controlled enemies enter. This occurs in four zones that are already known from Bad Company 2, namely Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Isla Inocentes and Nelson Bay. The players have successively occupy some strategic points, as is the case in the normal game mode Rush'. In Onslaught is not only with fewer players and played against the computer, including the time and kept the level of difficulty is adjustable. DICE expects that online competition will create the fastest time of clans who want to improve every folder.

While no date is known, expects the DICE DLC package for the end of the summer to bring online. The package will be in the Xbox Live Marketplace 800 Microsoft Points, while PS3 gamers are paying 8.99 euros. EA and DICE have released no details about the PC version of the content package.

Our current plan is to allow Steam to test the patch tonight and all being well we will look to release R7 client and R10 servers on Wednesday morning European time. I'll update more on that later once the details are finalised.

BFBC2: R9 Server patch is out

Check with your game server provider if you have not seen this yet, but there's another server side patch for the game. Autobalance has apparently improved and it should shuffle people around between rounds. I would personally like to see people be shuffled even in a round if there's a massive discrepancy between two teams. I've seen whole clans leave in mid round leaving the game 1v16. This just might be the most stable release yet.
